On a quest to find some inspiration for branding ourselves and to find some interesting hold for work we ventured to Camden and were lucky enough to to come across the launch of the new Cyberdog in Camden. The new interior is fantastic! They had girls dancing on balconies in the first room, the beams and logo at the entrance were decorated with neon acetate with embossed computer chip board patterns, downstairs is pretty huge, not as dark as the last location but possibly even louder and club-like . Behind the tills there were pulsing waveforms and a really nice touch I found were the bespoke cyberdog hangers white with horns. Cyber geek bliss! ^^

Just before Christmas I ventured to the new Saatchi gallery and one photographer keeps coming into mind when I reminisce on my visit; Zhang Peng. His compositions have a heightened sense drama and a sense of artifice and illusion from reality, they are anime-esque and futuristic . The subjects of his photographs are doll-like prepubescent Asian girls manipulated to look westernised appropriating our perception of beauty. His work addresses psychological pressure and alienation with tones of vulnerability and corruption. They are beautifully directed and evocative pieces.
