Today sarah and I had a practice run in the photography studio before our final filming of Pigsy in Space for D&AD, a friend of ours on the film course at buck and our tutors husband Aart , a photographer, helped us set up the scene and lighting for our up and coming stop motion film . Browsing for some more inspiration before the big day I came across surrealist animator Jan Svanmajer. I realised I had seen his Tma Svetlo Tma [1989] previously and came across a number of creepy pieces he has made.

Flash mobs are becoming a bore, they really do appear to be just a fad, but my heart warmed to this one outside the Tate Modern on the 1st March. However, maybe I was winned over by the peoples compassion for Tony Hart. Art has been my world ever since I can remember and he is one of the first faces I put to it.
I suppose like any media, where it is relevant it can work intelligently.
Unlike the ridicule of the Liverpool Station’s facebook orientated flash mob the other week, which caused its temporary closure, this facebook group successfully collected together fans of Tony Hart. Group members created a mob of morphs they had made in a tribute to the Hart. It has had press coverage, created conversation and got people together in one place to be creative.

Sarah and I have officially been together for a month now and have managed to get together a book we are semi-proud of to show some agencies we are interested in.
On Tuesday we had three crits at Weapon7, Razorfish and LBi.
Weapon7 seemed impressed by some of our work and are hopefully going to drop us a brief to work on then we can go back and show their CD’s, the Senior team at Razorfish plucked our book apart fantastically and John-paul a CD at LBi constructively annihilated what we believed to be our strongest two campaigns! It was such a useful day I feel with all the advice we have got we could already improve our book ten-fold but we are waiting on a few more crits at The Work Club, Tribal DDB, Wand and Elvis before we move it on. I feel we have a long way to go yet but a lot of great advice and inspiration to spur us on!
LBi critique

Rob Lawrence, Creative Director of digital agency Razorfish came to Bucks t’ther week and enlightened us with an insightful talk on digital advertising and gave some of us crits on our D&AD works. It was brilliant to hear him confirm that the iphone app. for NSPCC that we had worked during our placement this January was going to be produced! It is so exciting to get our first piece of work out. We are looking forward to seeing the app. once it’s been made. Watch this space:

Tonight we had a ‘bring back the dead’ themed fund raising night at our The Antelope where our DJ Goodall racked up some wicked tunage as we handed out some skittle infused vodka shots and raked in some munnies for June 12th!
Yes on June 8th I summon thee to the bucks degree show! Please hunt down hypereal and look at their fab work. There’s no place like London
